Our feature film Gradation is still in post production and will be looking for worthy distribution deals towards the end of summer. Still have a few music contracts to iron out and get all of the copyrights set in place as to the film, theme song and the script. Gradation is registered with the WGA.
So June flew by and with the exception of the heat, hopefully time will slow down. Getting ready to shoot a video educational series and writing Five Floors. Still tweaking GRADATION a bit.
We will be in the studio soon in LA putting down the tracks to our original theme song to Gradation. Original score by Saul Mong, the multi-talented Lynne Newton on the mic and lyrics by Mike Breyer & tweaked for the studio by Lynne Newton.
Been busy editing and cutting a new version of the film. As an editor, it is easy to get used to a certain version of the film that seems close to a finished product, but upon feedback and time away, I decided it isn't ready to show yet. I've narrowed it down to ninety minutes so far and included ADR and inserted new cuts in almost every scene. The sound is getting there, but needs some more time to tweak. Overall, I'm pleased, but quality takes time and I am the only person in post production. More to come...
Thrilled to have been cast as Hannibal in Lynne Newtons new film Enipheres that is currently in script form and pre-production.
Will be busy next week in the editing bay with Premiere Pro on my feature film Gradation which is in post production.
Still need some help with mixing the 5.1 surround mix. Wondering if a standard six speaker set up will suffice. I do know the export settings and how to layer the stems for that type of mix.
I'm sure a stereo mix on Blu Ray will work, but I want to learn how to mix surround for future projects and in reality, I simply like the process.

We spent the day up in the mountains of Idyllwild today for my Birthday and we had a great time. The drive was amazing and it was fun to take Bella with us to eat. The food at Fratello's was awesome and it was nice to sit outside on the patio with a bottle of wine and people watch. Very authentic Italian cuisine. To go, we took home a large Margherita Pizza. Definitely going back!
